For HVAC contractors

An engineer behind your install.

An engineer responsible for the design, with the numbers the inspector sees.

Owners and builders compare bids. An engineer responsible for the design gives yours something a lower number can't.

What you get.

  • Sized room by room

Every system is sized from a room-by-room Manual J, so the equipment you quote fits the calculated load.

  • An engineer responsible for the design

A licensed California professional engineer, mechanical discipline, is in responsible charge of the design, and the final Manual J and S are stamped for plan check. Your quote and the permit set use the same numbers, and plan check questions on our documents go straight to the engineer who did the work.

  • Your duct layout, our airflows

Every HVAC design comes with Manual D duct design or room airflows for your layout. When you lay out the ducts, you size them to our airflows and send the layout back for review.

  • Title 24 that matches your equipment

The energy report and the mechanical sheets come from one office and use one set of numbers.

  • Indoor air quality jobs, on paper before you bid

Jobs with the indoor air quality level, in Strome Signature or added to HVAC design only, come with an ERV schedule, a filter schedule, a sensor points list, and a functional test script.

  • Load calc only, when that's all you need

Need only the load calc for a job you're designing yourself? That's a package too.

Your customer stays yours.

We design. You install. Strome doesn't sell, install, or service equipment, so the equipment sale, the install, and the service work stay with you.

Contractors bring us in for a job they'd rather not design themselves, for an owner or builder who asks for an engineer, or for a job that needs a stamped design.

Send the plans if you have them; a PDF of the architectural set is enough. No plans yet? The square footage and what you need are enough for a quote. We reply by email with questions, if any, and a quote.
